The programme is designed mainly for people producing food to be sold through third parties, though some content applies to those setting up cafes or restaurants, and it assumes participants already understand the basics of running a business such as tax compliance and business planning. Completing Food Starter can improve an applicant's prospects when later applying to the Food Academy programme.
