About this support
Powerhouse is a network for Carlow-based businesswomen operating on a pay-as-you-go model; women become members after attending their first paid activity. The 2026 programme includes support-focused events such as International Women's Day on 8 March and National Women's Enterprise Day on 17 October, alongside a Powerhouse Business Breaks series of two-hour sessions on topics including networking, sales and marketing, and financial empowerment, held in April, June, August and November 2026. All four Business Breaks can be booked together for EUR 80. Members receive a regular Powerhouse newsletter with news and training updates and can submit content for the network's LinkedIn and Facebook accounts. The programme is delivered in partnership with Carlow County Council's Library Service, County Carlow Chamber, Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet and South East Technological University.
