About this support
LEO Limerick's Mentor Programme matches the knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial capability of experienced business practitioners with small business owner-managers who need practical and strategic one-to-one advice. The mentor contributes independent, informed observation to aid decision making. Applications are dealt with individually and preceded by a business needs analysis to identify the business's key needs and mentoring objectives. Published areas of mentor involvement include business strategy, financial planning, market research, marketing and promotion, production planning, distribution, corporate organisation, and website planning and design. Businesses apply online via a linked application form; once approved, a mentor is allocated an agreed number of hours, and the mentoring session is valid for three months from the date of application, after which unused hours automatically lapse. The programme is limited to existing businesses only, with up to 10 employees, based in Limerick.
