What this service helps with
Businesses need structured, hands-on support to identify waste and improve productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.
About this support
Lean for Business, offered through Longford LEO, encourages clients to adopt Lean principles to increase performance and competitiveness across any sector. Delivery runs in two ways: a One-to-Many method where a single Lean Service Provider selected by tender runs an initial one- to two-day Introduction to Lean workshop followed by up to five half-day company visits, or a One-to-One method where the business selects its own Lean Service Provider. In both cases the provider evaluates the company's processes, discusses challenges with managers, applies Lean tools relevant to the business, and trains and mentors staff, with a final report, case study and metrics sent to the LEO. Longford LEO's own training pages also list a LEAN Programme among its subsidised courses. It is open to small enterprises with 1-50 paid employees, trading at least 6 months, registered and solvent, with current tax clearance.
