About this support

LEO Limerick's LEAN for Business Programme page states that Lean can be applied across a range of sectors including retail, manufacturing, professional services, distribution and personal services, not just manufacturing. It describes Lean as being about effectiveness and efficiency, doing things quicker, better and cheaper, and about stamping out waste and continually improving. The office recognises the substantial improvements in productivity and profitability that can come from applying Lean principles and aims to support owner-managers in embracing Lean methodologies in their businesses. A separate Financial Supports Lean for Business page links out to What is Lean, case study videos and How to Apply detail pages, which describe delivery through One-to-Many or One-to-One engagement with an approved Lean Service Provider funded up to 90%. Businesses discuss and apply for the programme through their Local Enterprise Office.

Eligibility

Companies with 1-50 paid employees, trading at least 6 months, tax compliant, not Enterprise Ireland or IDA clients; start-ups generally excluded unless trading 6+ months with revenue over EUR 30,000.

Not covered

Primary agriculture, fishery, aquaculture, coal and steel sectors; gambling, adult entertainment, tobacco and unauthorised cannabis products are ineligible.
