About this support

Lean for Business, run by LEO Leitrim as part of the nationwide LEO Lean for Business Programme, funds up to 90% of the cost of engaging a Lean Service Provider to improve business processes. It runs in two formats: One-to-Many, where the LEO selects a single Lean Service Provider after tender who runs an initial one to two day Introduction to Lean workshop followed by up to five half-day company visits, and One-to-One, where the company chooses its own approved Lean Service Provider. In both cases the provider evaluates company processes, works with management and staff on improvement projects using Lean tools, and sends a final report, case study and metrics back to the LEO on completion. It is open to companies with 1-50 paid employees who are not Enterprise Ireland or IDA clients, trading at least six months and tax compliant; start-ups generally do not qualify unless trading over six months with revenues above €30,000. Businesses apply by discussing the programme with their Local Enterprise Office.
