About this support

Green for Business is a free consultancy programme delivered through LEO Monaghan to help small businesses become more sustainable. Businesses work with a specialist Green Consultant for up to two days of expert consultancy, who identifies practical, impactful changes tailored to that business, covering areas such as more efficient use of energy, water and materials, lowering carbon footprint and improving brand image. The support is open to enterprises with 1-50 employees that are established, registered and operating within the LEO area, trading more than 6 months, with turnover in excess of EUR 30,000 annually, and does not extend to primary agricultural businesses or those in ineligible sectors such as gambling or adult entertainment. Companies within a holding group, franchise or linked structure may only make one application. Businesses apply by discussing the support with their Local Enterprise Office.

Enterprises with 1-50 employees, established and registered in the LEO area, trading over 6 months, turnover above EUR 30,000; one application per group of linked companies.

Not covered

Excludes primary agricultural businesses/farms and activities such as gambling, adult entertainment, tobacco and unauthorised cannabis products.
