LEO Laois signposts clients to Green for Business, a free consultancy programme rather than a cash payment, delivered nationally on the LEO portal's Financial Supports section. Businesses work with a specialist Green Consultant for up to two days to identify practical, impactful changes covering energy, water and materials use, cost reduction and reputational benefits. Published eligibility rules require the enterprise to have 1-50 employees, be established, registered and operating within the LEO catchment, trading for more than 6 months, with annual turnover above EUR 30,000, and hold current Revenue tax clearance with a Tax Reference Number and Tax Clearance Access Number. Primary agricultural businesses (farms) and enterprises in gambling, adult entertainment, tobacco or unauthorised cannabis products are ineligible, and companies in a linked group, franchise or holding structure may only submit one application.
