About this support

Green for Business is a free consultancy programme through which a business works with a specialist Green Consultant for up to two days to identify practical, tailored changes that improve sustainability, such as reducing energy, water and materials use. The consultant prepares a detailed Green for Business report on the business setting out recommended changes. Applicants first watch a webinar covering Green for Business, Green Start and the Energy Efficiency Grant before applying for the two days of consultancy through their Local Enterprise Office, which discusses the application directly with the business. Businesses that complete the programme may go on to apply for the Energy Efficiency Grant or GreenStart. Applicants must supply tax reference and tax clearance details for verification.

Eligibility

Open to enterprises with 1-50 employees, turnover over EUR 30,000, trading over 6 months, registered and operating in the LEO area, excluding farms, gambling, adult entertainment, tobacco and cannabis-based products.

Not covered

Primary agricultural businesses, gambling and gaming, adult entertainment, tobacco products and cannabis-based products not authorised as medicines.
