What this service helps with
Women founders in the West, North-West and Gaeltacht areas often lack access to tailored entrepreneurship training, mentoring and peer networks at different stages of starting and growing a business.
About this support
The EMPOWER Programme supports women in business and advances female entrepreneurship across Ireland's Gaeltacht communities and the West and North-West, including County Mayo. Delivered by the Innovation Hubs at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) with Rubicon Centre at MTU, and supported by partners including Udaras na Gaeltachta and the Local Enterprise Offices in Mayo and Galway, it offers a suite of programmes such as EMPOWER Start, EMPOWER Growth, EMPOWER Elevate, and the Irish-medium Cumasu Tus and Cumasu Fas. These give early-stage and established female founders structured training, mentoring, peer networking and strategic support to start, grow and scale their businesses, both online and in person.
