The Leisure, Health and Fitness (LHF) Skillnet provides training specific to the leisure, health and fitness industry, delivered in collaboration with Ireland Active. Courses are provided for Ireland Active and REPs Ireland members, which include leisure facilities, health clubs, education and training providers, and gyms. Training spans industry-specific skills such as gym instruction and swim teaching, alongside development areas such as marketing, management and leadership; examples on its site include a BACPR Specialist Exercise Instructor Programme, HR Essentials for Non-HR Managers and exercise prescription for older adults. The network is based at Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. It also offers a small number of fully funded programmes for people who are not in employment, subject to eligibility criteria and place availability, alongside its core support for member businesses.
