Food Drink Ireland is Ibec's main trade association for the food and drink industry, representing more than 150 food, drink and non-food grocery manufacturers and suppliers. It coordinates a network of category associations spanning the food chain, including the Irish Beverage Council, Prepared Consumer Foods, the Irish Bread Bakers Association, the Federation of Irish Renderers, the Irish Breakfast Cereal Association, the Chocolate and Confectionery Association of Ireland, the Petfood Association of Ireland and the Irish Cold Store Federation, each representing members at national and EU level. It runs working groups on sustainability, competitiveness, trade, skills and regulation, publishes a business monitor and policy submissions, and delivers industry-led training through Food Drink Ireland Skillnet, established in 2013.
