Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet is a national network supporting businesses and freelancers across Ireland's creative and cultural industry, including animation, visual effects, film, TV, immersive technologies, digital media, music, theatre and visual arts. It was established in January 2023 as a consolidation and expansion of three earlier networks: Animation Skillnet, Screen Skillnet and Immersive Technology Skillnet. Promoted by Furthr, it designs, develops and delivers responsive, bespoke and flexible training courses to address the ongoing needs of the sector. Recent published programmes have covered legal and business aspects of animation, AI updates and rights issues for creative work, sound design and implementation for interactive media, and traineeships in animation, VFX and games. Membership is free and open to private enterprise businesses and freelancers in the creative industry.
